NAME: Jules Landolt
POSITION: Business Development & Financial Adviser
YEARS IN SKYDIVING: 2
Tandem in April 2016.
WHY I STARTED:
All my kids started skydiving on their 12th birthday. So I did my first tandem jump together with my eldest son.
But since I was 17 years old it was my dream to fly. At this time I had no possibility but still held onto my dream. In 1988 the paragliding sport started in the Swiss Alps and I began to fly with paragliders but in fact the Alps were really cold to fly.
MOST MEMORABLE JUMP:
My first tandem with my instructor Kiwi was quite full of action, jumping out on 15,000 feet.
The most memorable flight was my 12th flight with a huge paraglider. Without any mobile connection we started up in the Mountains. Across the mountain was a fog line and we had to cross the fog for the landing zone, this was a very uncomfortable feeling without seeing anything.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN THE FUTURE OF SKYDIVING:
My future is to jump regularly and to get my licence as a pilot.
My picture of the future of skydiving are different combinations of body flying with personal challenges. It will be an unforgettable big step in your life. Just one jump can affect you, trying to reach the impossible in your life.
BRIEF HISTORY OF YOU:
I grew up in the Switzerland mountains and I always loved any kind of outdoor sport, walking, climbing, mountaineering, paragliding.
Indoor sport sports I preferred to play Volleyball and I did it for years very successfully.
I studied economics at a Swiss university and worked for years as a financial officer. I love to train people in entrepreneurship, finance and business processes.
Came with my family to Australia in 2013 and found a new passion in the skydiving scene. My wife and my four kids love to skydive and all did their first jump from 15,000 feet here in the best DZ, here in Coffs Harbour.
